The coil of wire below the box could be used to connect the device?

i remember,that i used to watch mad max 2 first,then mad max and then thunderdome..
just like they did in cinemas in america.. but just with the ausie versions

i´ve been watching mad max 1 and always wondered the meaning of that sound at:
-first the nightrider scene
-second time after station master says "poor bastard"
-third time when jhonny the boy yells some gibberish nightrider stuff

does anybody know that sound?

here at estonia they don´t show it much... but when the soviet era ended,the trilogy was one of the first non-soviet films ever in here.
most-showed were MM1 and RW,no boring thunderdome very often
