Re: My biggest problem with the movie
If this is a "reboot", it's interesting that it seems to replace the second film, rather than retelling the origin. Maybe this is Miller's more thought-out sequel to MM2, taking place in a reality where Max doesn't crash, but outruns Wez when he leaves the compound. Miller's correcting the...

Re: Wez in the compound
As MWFV8 said, for the sake of plot. I've always thought Max could have taken Wez out easily in the opening chase, just slam the brakes and yank the wheel to the left when he's coming alongside--and then Max would be behind the Landau, too. But it is cooler to have Wez get shot by the other pursuer.

Re: Real life "MadMax like" Highway chase scene in the news.
It was a fad here in the States for a while, I think in the 1990s, pulling out guns and shooting at other drivers who pissed you off. It seems to have gone away. One of our more stupid trends, like wearing your pants pulled down under your rear. That one doesn't seem to be going away though.

Re: Unnecessary war
mahenoguy , I'm mostly a reluctant agnostic. I really wish I had the faith, and I envy people who do, but for some reason I can't say "I believe in God". Which is odd, because I will thank God when things go right for me, actually look up and mouthe a quiet "thank you". Am I jus...

Re: Unnecessary war
It is funny how these threads can go off on tangents from the original topic, but I kind of like it. I think you misread my last post, when you say I have the opinion that "natural selection has no more proof than creationism"; I do believe in natural selection and evolution, and believe t...

Re: MM3 Tina Turner - Yay or Nay?
She was good. After Max got the kids off, there was no reason to kill him, and she respected what he did. She knew he was a good man, and let him live--she walked her talk. She respected Max.

Re: Unnecessary war
mahenoguy , I'll let leadcounsel respond to you on his points. My opinion is Hussein was a check in the region, and things went awry when he was gone. He was a brutal dictator, but how many of those do we commonly deal with? As I heard it once--"He's a barbarian, but he's our barbarian". ...

Re: Unnecessary war
leadcounsel, didn't Germany declare war on us, after we declared war on Japan? In which case Germany invited us to their party, and got the turd in their punchbowl

I have, but only on a special showing at the Castro in San Francisco; I gladly paid to see it twice. Karol had his Snake Truck parked in front
